PUMA and Happy Art Movement launch the PUMA x BRITTO collection
Following last week’s collaboration with Mercedes AMG Petronas F1, PUMA has teamed up with Happy Art Movement founder Romero Britto. The announcement sees the drop for the PUMA x BRITTO collection. The collection is meant to bring works of art to life, with a colorful mix of footwear and apparel.
Britto is known for creating his own aesthetic. These are shaped by love, hope and happiness. And that’s what his first collaboration with PUMA aims to reflect. It is the optimistic view of the world through art.
PUMA took inspiration from Britto’s vibrant graphics and vibrant colors. Each of the pieces is created to resemble the aesthetic of the 90s. It features accents of purple and orange for a bright and cheerful take on the classic from the PUMA archives. The collection brought with it the goal of bringing fun, happiness and love to the world.
In the words of Britto himself, “Art is too important not to be shared.” Moreover, he states that the collection is a reflection of the past, present and future at the same time.
The PUMA x BRITTO collection features three silhouettes from the archives. This includes the RS-Connect, Basket and Wild Rider sneakers. Each of these sneakers has a fun look and feel, playing with allover prints, bold graphics and colorways.
In addition to sneakers, PUMA also announced a collection of tie-up apparel. This includes the AOP hoodie, AOP t-shirt, track pants and t-shirt as well as a women’s crew and track pants. The garments feature a mix of graphics, prints and even embroidery on a few pieces.
