Art collector spotlights local artists in new book
Art collector Allan Ancheta publishes his first book titled “Fusion”, leading readers through the wonders of art appreciation and collection, especially at a time when art can bring comfort.
Launching her book on Manila’s new digital event FAME FAME + Market Days, which runs until today, October 22, Ancheta showcases artwork from Filipino talent featured in The Cabinet at Canterbury, a gallery art piece he built with his wife, Jas, inside their home in Manila.
The collector highlights artists from various disciplines and backgrounds, valuing the diversity of the local art scene.
It presents the emotionally motivated abstract works of Ben-Hur Cabana, trained under Romulo Olazo; The art of Khristina Manansala inspired by childhood memories and religious themes, recalling the works of her grandfather Vincent Manansala; and Nixxio Castrillo, son of the late Eduardo Castrillo.
An essential book for art lovers and collectors, “Fusion” tells the story of the transformative role of art in life. The book will be available on jasanchetainteriors.com and Jas Ancheta Interiors on Facebook and Instagram.
