Drive-in Movies at the Belmont!
Organizers at the Belmont Arts & Cultural Center are excited to announce a brand new event, the Classic and Custom Car Drive-in Movie on Saturday, June 28. As the sun goes down, the nostalgia returns of those summer evenings with great movies, good friends and fun times. All types of cars are welcome, but classic and custom car owners are encouraged to show off their wheels.

Summer Art Camp
The Dragonfly Gallery will host two summer art camps. The camps will be held at the gallery from July 14th-18th. Entering 5th, 6th or 7th grades students will attend the camp from 9:00 to 12:00. Students entering the 8th grade will attend the camp from 1:00 to 4:00.

It’s hard to believe, but with spring upon us, summer is not far behind! Have you had a chance to decide how you will spend all that free time? The PMA might be the answer you are looking for. With three unique, week long summer camps, each designed to stimulate you children’s creativity and sharpen their artistic skills, there should be plenty of fun and excitement to last all summer long.

New Pensacola Opera Center to be Dedicated June 5th
On Thursday, June 5th, Pensacola Opera supporters will gather for a ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony for the new Pensacola Opera Center at 75 S. Tarragona St. A luncheon, hosted by Building Committee chairs Vaughan Hedrick and Don Partington, will be followed by the official reopening of the Opera Center and dedication of the new office and conference spaces.

5th Annual Outside Art Fair 2008

Friday, May 9, 2008 National Artist Donates and Displays Works
Constance Bergfors, a sculptor and artist has carved a career that has taken her to far away locales and led her to practice in several genres. In an effort to showcase her work, Mrs. Bergfors has decided to donate a piece entitled Memories of Africa, in support of the work of the African-American Heritage Society. After having lived in Italy, then Guinea, West Africa, and Var, France, Bergfors began her study of sculpture, a form she has worked with since. Bergfors brings her considerable experience to Pensacola to showcase her work

BALLET PENSACOLA’S “DANCING WITH THE STARS”

2008 Gallery Nights Kicks Off with “Spring Fling”
The Arts Council of Northwest Florida will present “Spring Fling,” the first of five 2008 Gallery Nights on March 7, 2008 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the streets of downtown Pensacola. This free community event celebrates the diversity and joy of Pensacola’s lively arts scene and nightlife. Explore galleries, cultural organizations, businesses and boutiques for an evening of exciting art, music, performances, food, and shopping (of course!) by local and international artists. “Spring Fling” will be produced by the Arts Council of Northwest Florida and will be sponsored by the Downtown Improvement Board, Downtown Arts District Association (DADA), Downtown Crowd, COX Media, and Sandy Sansing BMW.

“Life is a Cabaret! Cabaret Rocks Through the Ages” at the PLT, March 1!
Pensacola Little Theatre is tuning in to the music of the 1940s through the ‘80s for its 7th annual “Life is a Cabaret” gala fundraiser. Nationally-known Director/Producer/Playwright/Composer & Stage Performer, GARY WALDMAN announced today that he, his longtime partner, JAMISON TROUTMAN and childhood best friend DAVID GERSON have signed a lease for a 4,000 square foot property on West Garden Street and that they are currently preparing to construct and open an off-Broadway style, professional theater in downtown Pensacola.
